Alex Diwa is based in Sydney, Australia, and has recently embarked on a PhD candidature in materials chemistry. With no formal training in the creative arts, his photography work has emerged purely out of a few years of experimentation with cheap point-and-shoots.
He has dabbled in street photography and portraiture, but as of late has focused more on the natural environment. In this particular ‘BUSH’ series, he has captured some of the more unusual details and textures of Sydney’s bushland, rather than offering (or resigning to) the standard ‘cookie cutter’ representation of our landscape.
