Luke Dubbelde is an emerging fashion and editorial photographer based in Newcastle, NSW. Growing up in a rural town has endowed him with an appreciation for the artistic avenues of nature; he draws inspiration from his surroundings to encapsulate the essence of a moment.
Luke’s interest in the field developed at a young age, when he began photographing his friends. Since then, he has spent the last few years developing a distinct look to set himself apart from the rest. His style utilizes natural lighting to produce a ‘soft’ beauty, characteristic of his passionate approach towards photography; the field he considers to be his life’s calling. Always one to shoot for the top, Luke has plans to extend his work and explore the use of video as a creative medium.

“Although I am only 16 years old I have never let my age become a barrier. I may not be able to smoke or drink but they are a superficial limitation. My passion is real. I have no intention of that changing anytime soon. I still only am in Year 11 and still have your typical teenage goals - excel in HSC, get into university. At the end of the day photography drives me and that is what is going to lead me for the rest of my life not a ranking.”
