The name Julia Made was my late grandmother’s idea, who herself had a little knitting business called Val Made. Naturally i would carry on such a clever family tradition! My inspiration and ideas come from the world around me, but mostly i’m fascinated with times gone past, the yesteryear and anything old fashioned; black and white American movies, patchwork quilts, old junk stores, antique everything, old books/ magazines/ prints are a gold mine and illustration/ design/ printing and making things is what makes me tick.
