Melbourne designer Troy Backhouse is the founder of T-bac, a multi disciplinary design studio specialising in products and furniture for domestic and commericial use. Troy’s work combines ‘technical and innovative design skills’ stemmed by his experience in the industry and passion for travelling.
“When possible I like to travel, for me traveling provides copious opportunities for inspiration. Just to see people living differently influences me to think and create in different ways to what I would back in Melbourne.”
Troy is currently overseas and has been inspired by traditional crafts and new technologies developing in Columbia. He is working with local manufacturers and designers to develop new designs.
