Bentley Restaurant and Bar brings the new decade with a modern design.

Award winning Bentley Restaurant and Bar has re-opened with a sophisticated new look and cutting edge menu to match. Transformed by acclaimed Melbourne designer, Pascale Gomes-McNabb, the new venue reflects Bentley’s inspired ambrosial cuisine, world-class wine list and passionate service – a truly exquisite dining experience in the heart of Surry Hills.

Named as one of the most influential designers in 2009 by The Age (Melbourne,) Gomes-McNabb brings her effortless charm and innovative visionary designs to the new Bentley Restaurant and Bar. Still maintaining the distinctive Bentley modern dining concept, the new interior is imbued with a sense of casual elegance and a chic character. “A strong new look dining space was needed to ensure a swift departure from what was to what is,” she says. “The change represents the Bentley’s evolution and transformation from its early conception four and a half years ago.”

The sweeping refit divides Bentley’s dining room and bar section into two separate entities, ensuring each area is easily identified and utilised according to customer’s needs. Black wire mesh screens shields the two areas allowing for translucency and visual continuity with the rest of the room. The black brushed metal bar and vivid red leather benches provide a more intimate setting to enjoy Bentley’s award winning wine and cocktail lists. Illuminated sparkling bottles in glass shelves and visible wine storage racks also emphasize the two new and distinctive spaces. In contrast, Bentley’s dining area incorporates clean white walls with glossy black chairs and American oak tables. Mirrors clad in 17th century Dutch landscapes compliment and add richness to the underlying concept. Overall, the new interior offers a chic and sophisticated dining experience to match the food, wine and service that visionary forces Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt have become recognised for.

With a strong reputation and an innovative new menu from head chef Brent Savage, the 2010 Bentley Restaurant and Bar will characterize a new decade of modern dining restaurants in Australia and beyond.
