The TGM team came across the work of Simon Alexander Cook (design mpathé) at the PYD Markets in Sydney last month.
“Simon creates iconic furniture from urban salvaged timber and designs ecological art installations to inspire, educate and interpret heritage, habitats and future concerns.” Influenced by natural landscapes and organic forms, his Sonic Boom coat rack resembles the shape of a boomerang as well as the back bone of the human body. What’s interesting about his work is it’s animal-like features, each piece looks like its about to come alive.
Simon is a qualified interior designer based in Sydney, and has worked across different areas of the design industry.

I've had a good long sit on the Mercy seat, they are just really comfortable! Beats getting sore knees and a cramped back...
Great works Simon!
thanks to InterfaceFLOR, Sydney for the enviously green carpet location, that makes the world of sitting low a great deal more attractive and fun. Hands up the floor sitters . . .
Wow, Simon, this is awesome!
Darling,
I love the Mercy seats, and I think I looked better on them with my busty cleavage and fishnets than those two women you have pictured!!
Congrats Simon.
Why didn't you take the pics from in front of the Cologne Dom ;)
Now I understand a lot more of your T-shirt designs. It all makes sense! I'm looking forward to checking out your other stuff. Best regards, P. :)
Great stuff Simon, keep it up!
